Many have always been fascinated about why western companies fail in China. It's difficult to understand why massive companies like Google and Ebay fail to resonate with a Chinese audience and I wanted to know why this was happening.

For example, when Ebay tried to break in to the Chinese market they failed because a local company called Taobao simply understood the Chinese people better, and no matter how much money Ebay threw at it, they couldn't get to grips with the Chinese market.
