Preserving foods using cryogenic seals can help developing countries feed more people for longer. The process requires using freezing equipment that can withstand extremely cold temperatures. Without this equipment, food won't stay frozen and you may end up losing most of it due to spoiling.

4. Conducting Surgeries

Cryosurgery involves using extreme cold to destroy abnormal tissues. During the procedure, surgeons use either liquid nitrogen, carbon dioxide or argon. Cryosurgery is most often used for precancerous skin lesions or tumors. It's also used to treat early prostate cancer that's contained in the prostate. Once the liquid nitrogen reaches a temperature between -346 and -320 degrees Fahrenheit, it freezes anything that comes in contact with it and destroys cells upon impact.
